Agree on DUIs, but that requires a voluntary choice. It's possible the VC was  duped but do agree that likely in many cases there was at least some sort of due diligence failure...so actually maybe you are on to something.

Yes and it also prevents VCs from encouraging companies to take on criminal risk in addition to all the other risk inherent to entrepreneurship because if everyone gets away with it, it’s good for returns
