can you expand on this one -- what's TDC and why would expensive US assets (based on TDC) be good news for btc?

I think expensive assets mean that people in the market are trying to find yield and can't find it. That's because everything is in a bubble territory because of historically low interest rates... Bitcoin is the return to sound money, and if you think that people will return to store their wealth in money instead of everything else, that means that Bitcoin is cheap...

that makes sense to me on a medium time horizon, but i assume if US assets go down a bunch they'll take btc with it? lotta btc holders in the US that would liquidate or rebalance if RE/stocks/etc went down 50% i imagine..

I don't think they normalize in "dollar terms" in the medium term... They normalize in BTC terms... What I think is the most likely scenario is SP500 grows as much as M2, but Bitcoin grows much faster... In the worst case scenario this happens: https://warpcast.com/giu/0x3fba8f34
