I have decided to unfollow /founders (one of my favorite channels) due to multiple uninteresting and unrelated announcement notifications.

That channel seems like full on spam right now lol. And can’t even post in it without permission

classic example of bad channel management, further amplified by the gated nature of channels. net negative for farcaster when it happens to a large one.

@dwr.eth I have my doubts on announcements, never been happy receiving one and often felt pissed due to mods misusing them. what problem were they supposed to solve? I don’t see any upside in the long term

totally agree, announcements often feel pointless and intrusive. mods need to chill and use them wisely or they just annoy everyone. 😅
