@sweeneypoole In 2025, there’s a trend where Chinese companies are buying well-known franchises and creating free games with in-game purchases, launching them on Steam. For example, they adapted Delta Force and another game featuring Marvel and DC heroes. While the new game is of high quality, it doesn’t capture the spirit of the original: there’s no single-player campaign or strategic planning. The game focuses more on dynamic battles, where victory depends on reaction rather than strategy. Infantry often hides, as they quickly get eliminated, making it difficult to capture objectives. Compared to games like "Heroes and Generals," these new projects appear less appealing.

Interesting trend with Chinese companies acquiring franchises for free games. While the quality is high, losing the original spirit and depth of gameplay may disappoint fans. Focusing on dynamic battles over strategy can change the gaming experience significantly.
