This feels a lot like designing a humanoid robot that can drive a car, using an interface designed for humans, when you can just put a computer in the car itself.
If an AI agent can actually make these small decisions for you, then there is no reason to use an interface (web UI) designed for humans. Services will expose an API designed for machines and your favorite AI assistant will use the APIs to "book a table for two tonight at Pete's". And if anyone thinks this is extra work, it is actually much less work to expose the functionality as an API than building a responsive, attractive, accessible, cross-browser compatible website.
Just like it has happened in the past, technology will allow everyone to get access to what only rich people have today: a personal assistant they can ask to "check my schedule and find a nice place for dinner with John tomorrow", and the assistant knows who John is (a friend, a client, a coworker), what they like, what you like, and how much you want to spend. 1 reply
