I'm starting to see how an indy dev could use a personal memecoin. The idea is you use your memcoin in everything you build, as a payment method or as a gate or in some other way. For someone who expects you to build useful things in the future, it makes sense to hold some. Not a new idea, KOLs and celebrities have been promising this type of utility forever. But in case of developers, it's much easier to deliver, and of course you don't have the hype surrounding celebrities that makes it a total casino.

yes exactly! the other cool part is that you can earn $$$ without selling your work itself speculators love speculating, and their trading results in fee accrual for you so you get an income stream, along with a payment method / gate / all the other things you listed :)
