Farcaster

When we discuss about Farcaster channels, threads, etc, everyone looks at Twitter and Reddit for inspiration/comparisons. Why not Discord? Discord is doing a lot of things right. Discord is the only one of these services that depends on third-party bots to improve UX (we have bots and frames). 

Is it possible that the future of Farcaster channels is more like Discord and not less like Reddit?

I think a lot of people in this space have bad-Discord PTSD, but in general I agree with you.

From the jump, Discords are default private and opt in. Channels are only public and opt-in. I don't think the comparison works very well. Eventually maybe but channels feel very post oriented vs discord which is, mostly, chat focused.

I dispise Discord with everything in my being! UI is terrible to me lack of customization which goes back to the terrible UI.

Discord is definitely in my top three most hated pieces of software in history
