two thoughts - changing your opinion should be appreciated and even celebrated; the only people who will get mad about you changing an opinion are fixed mindset mids (mostly) - optimizing for fun should be encouraged because it can mean optimizing for wealth; never fun to lose money (v different than spending money)

It depends on the opinion. If my previously held opinion cost you (your time, your job, your rights, your happiness, etc.) then before you celebrate my change of mind, you should expect a sincere apology. And while you celebrate, I should be sad for my mistake. Of course, if we're talking about the best way to cook potatoes, well, ok. But I guess we're talking about more serious topics.
