I've been thinking a lot if torrents could be replaced by ipfs (storage) + farcaster (distribution). Maybe adding @anoncast too, for anonymous torrent submission. 

A user could upload the files to ipfs, then cast the hash. Bonus is easy to "subscribe" to feeds, trivial to donate, maybe some innovative frame uses.

fc for distribution is interesting. the core thing that needs building is a decentralized tracker (including the social/reputation parts). if you can figure out how to make seeding high-status via fc, this could be legit
