If you've been following the Ordering FIP, you may have noticed somewhere in the comments that I'm trying to propose an alternative solution that does not require sequencers with special privileges.

I've done many revisions since the last time I shared it here, but my problem is I don't have someone to debate it and find its weak spots. It may or may not be a good approach, but I'll never know unless others take a look and point out its weaknesses.

In this design, Onchain Events become the spine of the chain, which in a way means that we are taking advantage of the OP sequencer. In order for a fork to happen, it takes all the miners that try to build blocks without causing a fork to fail to include an onchain event, and a miner who is waiting for this to propose a fork (with no real impact other than causing the hubs to do some extra work).
