In the last few days, I started getting emails from Infura that the API key used by my hub is reaching the free quota. Has something changed? Has the network reached a size that keeping track of OnChainEvents requires more than the free quota offered by Infura?

So, based on the feedback from @cassie and @harris-, any hub that uses a free Infura plan will be out of sync for OnChainEvents at some point every day. What does this mean for the network health? My guess is a lot of back and forth between hubs that try to negotiate incompatible states. cc @v

Did some quick math and based on infura's new credit based model, the last two days were higher than the two before, and did reach the number of credits that would reach their free quota's limits

@harris-
Yep. I believe they changed their pricing and usage tracking model so that even "free" tiers are credit and usage based or something: "Beginning in September 2024, we are moving to a new pricing structure where each request has a credit value and credits are consumed as part of your subscription plan. What is changing? If you have a Core (Free), Developer, or Team plan, the usage bar on your dashboard homepage will switch to credits, you will be able to see credit usage per key, and a new Usage tab under Manage Plan will become available. If you have a Growth or Custom plan, there is no change. You will stay with the current pricing structure and your dashboard will remain the same."
