One thing I’ve longed for in the space - particularly SWEs in crypto - is salary transparency 

Many “globally remote” companies advertise one number, and then pay a different number depending on your location 

Sites like levels/glassdoor don’t have enough data points on this either

For someone looking to move countries, it’s weird not knowing what it would mean in terms of pay

I think most people don't want to disclose our salaries, but at the same time we would love to know the actual salaries in our industry. 

That's a typical problem looking for a ZK-proof solution, right?

Unless you’re worried about personal safety (valid concern depending on location), I don’t get the cultural norm of keeping that stuff secret

If you want to build an app around it, it doesn't matter if you get it or not, if it's a norm :-)

My comment was meant to push back against the norm, if you think salary transparency is good (I do) then the norm should go, IMO

I’m curious if it’s possible to build what you’re suggesting, though. I don’t know how zk would help prove that the value submitted is correct
