What narratives do you think drive the next DeFi cycle? Seems like RWAs for low risk, yield bearing, and being able to collateralize those tokens is taking shape & finding PMF. Curious what you think drives adoption and hype?!?

What will drive adoption: 👉 Account abstraction: to get more people into crypto + DeFi, we need to create a web2-like experience. We also need to create a UX that removes the friction of onboarding to crypto.

Beyond account abstraction, we need crypto abstraction. Interacting on-chain should feel web2. Warpcast is doing great in that sense. Judging by the number of projects building robinhood-like wallets with built-in account abstraction, 0 fees and for some gas subsidies, we're about to see a push in consumer DeFi.

I agree that all this would drive new users to DeFi. But then we would need to brace ourselves for degeneracy that we haven’t yet seen. Slot machines x scratch cards x loot boxes x extreme leverage x (3,3) and other onchain ponzinnovations

I'm not certain. My guess is that most people are just looking for vanilla speculation and predictable yield that can outperform T-bonds. The degenerates have already found their way into DeFi. Plus, most of the upcoming apps will offer a permissioned or better put, "curated" DeFi investment environment.
