Compound V2 forks are some of the most exploited protocols in DeFi history $400M+ loss in the last several years, at least There are other lending protocols with better security records + richer features like Aave v3, Compound v3, Morpho, Fluid, etc. Be safe and protect yourself! Most of the time, these exploits are caused by known vulnerabilities in the Compound V2 codebase

Just a quick note: I'll still be publishing State of DeFi Yields, but the wallet I use to publish is a hardware wallet. I'm traveling without the wallet, atm, so I'll resume publishing when I'm back home in late May. I'll figure out a backup publishing method in the near future!

Last week, @flatmoney launched on @base. It's a cool protocol, which creates a delta-neutral position between the two markets within Flat Money. To get $UNIT, you deposit $rETH and get the $UNIT flatcoin, which earns trading, funding rate, and liquidation fees. 28.8% vAPY isn't bad for the first week.

I've been looking forward to Credit Guild's launch on Arbitrum after reading about the protocol last month. Interest rates on lending protocols have fallen in recent weeks given the drop in the market. Even though prices have recovered a bit, bullish sentiment is still weak. ETH funding rates are still in the single digits across markets and borrowing is lower than in recent months. Where are interest rates heading 👇

Happy to see @pooltogether v5 live. They've moved to $wETH prizes and have great $OP incentives for depositors. $OP yields are in the high double digits for the $USDC, $LUSD, and $DAI vaults. The recent ezETH depeg is a good reminder that LRTs can depeg if withdrawals are not enabled. This is the same risk that was present for LSTs before withdrawals were enabled after the merge.
