Casey Reas, Ben Fry: Processing ā A Programming Handbook for Visual Designers and Artists, MIT Press, 2007 I want to share this creative coding 'bible' mainly for the sake of completeness. By far not only a 'how-to P5', but a complete introduction to becoming a digital artist, covering a plethora of fields & ideas.

The book provides us with artist interviews (i. e. with Jared Tarbell, their famous work 'Substrate' featured in the picture next to the title) and many, many different concepts. I had to feature this page showing an L-Systems-implementation by Andreas Schlegel. He is an alumni of the university I studied at.

And yes, this is the legacy, first edition. A second, reworked and expanded edition from 2014 is also available.
