Information Art : Diagramming Microchips Cara McCarty, 1998. A excellent title full of computer-generated plots and photographs of integrated circuits and computer chips. High level constraint aesthetics. PDF here: https://arena-attachments.s3.amazonaws.com/16355083/2c01e437d3044d097d2a4d7507fd3eb3.pdf?1651805567

Thanks___ there is a lot of variation, esp when you compare older PCB's with modern chips. I'm fascinated by the aesthetics because chips mimic so many other systems that need to be rigorously planned. For example - is this a plan for a city or a microchip? ;) btw, totally nerdy!

:) I'm sure you guessed. 'Plan for a city of 100,000 souls, that brings together all the charms and advantages that one could desire' - Johann Jakob Moll [c.1800]
