Please join the discussion, would love to hear your opinions: I'm constantly thinking about how to improve this platform for artists, collectors and art enjoyers alike. I kind of left Twitter/X for various reasons, since Musk took over and turned it into a propaganda machine. But whenever I return there for a quick update, my art feed is really top notch. Almost everybody who is active here, also posts or cross-shares frequently on X as well. But more important, a lot of artist I want to follow and I want to be informed about only post there (and maybe on Bluesky, Mastodon, IG as well, don't know). Point is, they all have a Farcaster account, but turned their backs on the platform at some point or never really got into it. I would therefore be delighted if they were to return and exploit Farcaster's potential.

Important to mention, I'm not talking about replacing one platform with the other. Fully understand artists need to serve as many channels as possible to reach the widest audience possible. Also people have been building their following on Twitter for years. So besides the obvious reasons, what might be other reasons or pain points to not be active here as well? I'd like to assemble a collection of reasons, ideas, critique and everything else that comes to our minds, with your help. My approach is not to ask others to change something, but to first see what you can change yourself, what contribution you can make to improve a situation. These can also be small, very simple things.

We have to understand that art has never been the official focus of the platform and never will be, but this is even more extreme on all other platforms. So accepting it is a niche no matter where you are, helps to realistically position oneself. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean you can't continue to optimize and build your own tools. That's not possible almost anywhere else. What I would ask you to do now is to take a few minutes and reply to this cast with insights from your own experience or from conversations with others: - What is better solved on other platforms? - What are currently the biggest pain points? - If you are thinking of recommending the platform, would you do so without reservation or what makes you doubt it? - What are your suggestions for improving the situation? My idea would be to start by collecting feedback, then work out the most important points and then think about how they could be improved. Really appreciate your help on this.
