The bear appears to be thick and heavy—the result of a summer’s worth of foraging. She gazes straight toward the viewer with the midday sun creating a shine in her eyes. She appears inquisitive, perhaps thinking “do you have any food for me?” Squiggles of line and color as well as texture and geometric shapes make up the bulk of her fur.
