Once again cryptography is blowing my mind This tweet led me to do some research into @zkemail and it's so unbelievably cool. You can create zkProofs about specific parts of an email without revealing the whole email or your address. These proofs can be submitted onchain and smart contracts verify they came from the correct sender For social recovery like Vitalik was talking about, you can designate email guardians. If you lose access to your wallet, your guardians receive an email to confirm the recovery. Once they reply, the proof is submitted and verified onchain, and your wallet is transferred to a new address specified by your guardian (this only works for smart wallets) https://x.com/VitalikButerin/status/1821668593689620877

It’s pretty powerful tech - in theory you could use it to prove all sorts of things about yourself. If I recall zkemail also powers zkp2p
