HIGHER

I’ve been wanting to create a Higher Score. Something that you earn through positive participation in the community, and gets you rewards. Something that’s not gameable.

Nervous about centralization of a single metric though and people optimizing for it rather than just participating for fun.

Thoughts ?

was actually a problem @vmathur and i talked about this endlessly at NBA Top Shot back in the day too, extremely hard to reward crypto-native behavior without users optimizing for it, or only favoring the rich

Score gaming is inevitable. 

What problem is higher score trying to solve? I kinda like the current model of tipping and token allocation for posts with likes. Ultimately the goal should be to make it feel like it isn’t opaque and controlled by a few people

Trying to incentivize more positive behavior: creating mints, minting others' work, providing liquidity, participating in channels, buying merch maybe, etc..
