So, I had an interesting visitor today - a praying mantis. No, not a wandering monk! This is an insect. This guy has a neat trick when he sets his prey on fire: he disguises himself as leaves or branches. Pretty smart, yeah! It has long and prehensile front legs for grasping food. And he can turn his head 180 degrees to avoid danger. Observations of praying mantises led to the creation of one of the main styles of Chinese Wushu - the praying mantis style. Cool, yeah?
