Vitalik Buterin has voiced his criticism of the existing cryptocurrency regulations, stating that well-intentioned developers are being cornered. In his view, projects with vague promises of potential returns are escaping regulatory scrutiny, while honest and transparent projects are immediately classified as "securities." Buterin called this an anarchy-tyranny, where acting honestly becomes risky. As a result, the industry is attracting less scrupulous projects. He believes it should be the other way around: regulators should focus more on projects without a clear long-term strategy rather than on those that provide a clear rationale for their economic value. Doodles will migrate their Stoodio service from the Flow network to @base. The NFT project Doodles plans to move its avatar customization platform, Stoodio, from the Flow network to Base. This migration is expected to occur in July. The original Doodles collection will remain on Ethereum. According to the project, the transition to Base will help attract more users. Uphold converts a number of stablecoins to USDC amidst MiCA implementation in the EU. The exchange Uphold announced that due to the introduction of MiCA regulations in the EU starting July 1, it will discontinue support for the stablecoins USDT, DAI, FRAX, GUSD, USDP, and TUSD. 🤓 The court approved the settlement agreement between Terraform Labs, Do Kwon and the SEC The court approved the settlement agreement between Terraform Labs, Do Kwon and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). As part of the deal, Kwon and Terraform will pay $4.5 billion. Terraform will pay nearly $3.6 billion in damages, a civil penalty of $420 million and approximately $467 million in pre-judgment interest. Kwon agreed to pay $110 million in compensatory damages and $14.3 million in judgment interest, as well as a civil penalty of $80 million.
