It's kind of a bummer that so many who are in that situation look at it, and begin to believe that the only way they can win is by making others lose. It doesn't have to be zero sum. There can be gains for everyone if we build systems with proper incentive structures. You can live well without fucking people over.

I was just trolling the "the western world". But yes, that sounds like a viable conclusion that a study on the consumer profile of post-colonial hyper-urbanizing peoples might reach. Homegrown "master mentality".
