A friend who works for Telsa (autopilot) told me had months of "trip data" / location traces on his laptop > "Just from people driving around?" > "Yeah, from the fleet" I drive a stickshift bronco now

I worked as an automotive tech for 12 years, and never even thought about this. Never seen anything quite this "intimate" in my service years, but the newer cars are basically iPhones on wheels so nowadays it wouldn't surprise me if the collected as much data as they could, even if it's just for marketing studies.
