Lots of people on the other site are mocking this tweet, but I feel like there's a specific sense in which it's true.

American products, music, entertainment etc are still super pervasive worldwide, but what there's less caring about is US *real-time discourse*.

Eg. very little discussion of Biden vs Trump in non-US

I think the last point is incorrect. As an Australian, I can attest Biden / Trump is a big concern for us. Same sentiments when I visited Malaysia and Singapore recently. Americanism may not be as pervasive as before but its still a discussion point.

How does the level of America-following feel now vs 2020 or 2016?

Relatively its lower and my guess is the pandemic and recent economic squeeze has taken more importance.
