Does diversity matter for network states? Intuitively to me it does, since living with only men doesn’t sound like it would work well. I feel like ignoring this is a deficiency of the framework, what do you think? Cc @balajis.eth

I dont think diversity matters at all. As long as no one is actively excluded. We are good. Getting network state off the ground is going to be uphill battle as is. There is no need to get bogged down with woke non sense. Every single western state is obsessed with diversity, so there are plenty of places for that

"No one is actively excluded" is a higher bar than many people think! Basically means that network states need to be located in one of a small number of countries that most people around the world can come to without onerous visa requirements.

What I was trying to express there is something along: Could please leave the culture wars in TradState & not bring that over to networks state. I don't think there is single person interested in network state that is illiberal or any phobe or ist. Let's focus on building not bickering about that tired old stuff

Oh I agree! I do think that there are good reasons to want certain types of diversity, but I strongly believe the network state movement should figure that out "on its own terms", and not import categories and priorities from US academics and politics.

In particular, for example, explicitly targeting international diversity can be a good tactic for diluting culture wars, and preventing any specific country's internal conflict from capturing a network state!
