But also the chart is kind of confusing. Ex: If you define in group as “intellectually honest, compassionate & morally consistent”, then by definition people doing bad stuff are only going to be in the out group.

i think u missing the whole point of the chart. in EVERY group, even the ones claiming themselves to be honest blablabla, there will be wrongdoers. Humans, ya know :)

in practice, imo the only way to address this is “a posteriori”. Words and people can say what they want, is the acts the only thing doesn’t lie. And u can only “judge” them AFTER acts happen.
