* East Asian date format (YYYY-MM-DD)
* EU time (24 hour)
* Also non-Western time (no DST)
* Anywhere-but-US units (meters, kg)
* OK fine, if I can have all of the above I'll use Fahrenheit

* Timers on all signals indicating how long before walkers can cross
* Doors that pull to enter (and obvious on how to open)
* Appliances that produce a sonorous sound (not multiple digital high pitched beeps, a la GE, Instapot) once they are complete
