The best country would have:

* EU floor numbers (ground floor is 0th)
* Also Global South floor numbers (don't skip 4th or 13th)
* East Asian date format (YYYY-MM-DD)
* EU time (24 hour)
* Also non-Western time (no DST)
* Anywhere-but-US units (meters, kg)
* OK fine, if I can have all of the above I'll use Fahrenheit

ok I’m kind of curious to play this out… what about other things? topology? urban design of its cities? Basic laws you would implement? Key trade areas to prioritize? structure / norms of governance?

I was intentionally covering more light-hearted ground!

Other ideas:

1. North-south streets are numbered, east-west streets have names that MUST be in alphabetical order (parts of SF work like this, but imo it needs to cover an entire city)

2. Billboards must have a QR code that lets people upvote/downvote them. Charge billboard tax proportional to percentage of downvotes

3. The same but for buildings and property tax

4. Charge property tax based on the percent of land you're not letting the public freely access (market-based spin on Allemansrätten)
