I think it’s hilarious that you mention this, this specific way, within ~24hrs or so of the parody Elon asking “when’s the last time you even called it x?”

I remember when I was visiting Vietnam, and some people still were calling Ho Chi Minh City Saigon despite the fact that it was officially renamed almost 50 years ago.

So extrapolating to here, I expect many people will still be calling it Twitter in the 2070s.

A million percent this. I feel like, with how baked into web3 Twitter is(was) that makes complete sense though. 

The duality of life is perplexing. 
But mayhaps in these cases equal parts duality and the adage re: ‘old habits dying hard’  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
