I was writing a short story for a writing prompt contest. After reading some of the other entries, I started doubting myself and my work. I no longer felt as if what I was writing aligned with the vision. So I gave up. I’ve gotten a lot better at believing in myself, but I guess I have more growth to do in that area.

I avoid this by only look at other entries only after contest conclusion. So many times I've got good feedback on works I personally wasn't really fond of.
