Puzzling through whether to open source Everyname's API and empower devs to use and manage their own RPCs and indexers (if applicable, note we don't index for good reason)

Everyname is already an important library/utility. Better if new namespaces could simply do a PR to get integrated/supported everywhere

Thoughts?

I think its mostly a personal decision—do we want to provide a service (eventually monetizable) vs a library (public good, no future business model but significant community utility)

I'm almost always for open-sourcing, but do recognize it introduces different challenges (eg managing attention repo maintainer, sorting contribution quality).


What are the pros/cons of open-sourcing the API in your eyes?
