The SEC just issued a major clarification on meme coins 👀

tl;dr most memecoins aren’t securities under federal law

What does that mean?
➡️ No registration required.
➡️ No investor protections under securities laws

It's interesting they put this out a month after the president launched a memecoin. This basically gives that action a free pass more clearly than before. Call me cynical but that's how I read the timing and specificity of this
