Having reviewed nearly 30 daycares in Madrid in the past month, and probably about half that last year in DC, my main heuristic about whether a place will be good or not for my son is the number of public reviews about it

It's almost like you can self select into a similar parental peergroup that does detailed primary research, and then leaves it at that
