One of the best parts of Farcaster is CT influencers who thrive on fomo and punching down are just a fish out of water. Breathe of fresh air.

This is one of the most interesting parts as we scale up audience. How much of it was the structure that resulted in such quality vs the people. And can it be sustained as we scale (especially at such a rapid pace.) I think so but curious to see the path it takes. These first weeks are just growth spurt/growing pains.

One heuristic for social network quality is to limit content you see to only the people on the network before you arrived

People always lament the new folks, so just provide a filter

One example might be to have a feed where only content from FIDs <5000 display (assuming your own FID is <5K)

If global scale is the ambition, which I
think it is for Farcaster, then there are inevitably going to be some low quality network participants

They're not going to become qDAUs no matter how much you try to set the conditions

So acknowledging their existence is important, ignoring them is even more important

Yeah but I’m curious about more novel solutions beyond burying head in the sand. It’s more interesting to think about how to increase qDAU then stay in the past. It was beautiful but it’s in the past now.
