Web apps work on mobile but mobile apps don’t work on desktop.

Native mobile apps are much more powerful than web apps on phone as well as PWAs is it being sidelined over web because the dev cost is higher on mobile?

My assumption is that most projects don’t need all that power, so they’re fine going with the lowest common denominator rather than taking on the extra work.
