it's an L2, and it's been confirmed as a "fix" that depending on your personal alfafrens usage, the cost of your transactions is affected. Same days some users where gifted gas savings. So is not a matter of @base imo :)

I don’t think you completely understand what these gas savings were. we paid a bunch of gas to automate the removal of extra “pool connections” from all users which were increasing gas costs. nothing individualised at all. it’s mostly complete now, if you had a lot of subscriptions you also benefitted from

gas costs increase the more complex the chain of interactions are on chain. If you are subscribed to 100s of channels it costs more to claim from all of them at once

that makes sense, my problem is the feeling that the receiver of the fees, once substracted the cost of base fees, is charging me an extra to operate in his platform. maybe more transparency in gas calculations could help. As always, appreciate a lot the time u take to answer 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
