If marketing is an investment in growth, should customer support be under operations, a cost for the product to run, similar to server costs? Community management, where does that fall, you think?

Community management should be its own department, collaborating with marketing, CS, product development. Or let’s create a community department and put marketing and CS *under* it

I’m working on GTM plan and I have high hopes for the community’s role for future growth but it’ll have to take a backseat until the product is live and certain other features that will help a community to form. Until then, I’m keeping marketing and community under investment, and CS as cost.

Same I’d split CM growth tactics / contents = investment CM CS = variable cost (depends on the activity)
