Lahore is the second largest city in Pakistan after Karachi. Lahore is located in the northeast of the country on the left bank of the Ravi River, just a few kilometers from the Indian border. As the capital of Punjab province, it is the industrial, cultural and transportation center of northeastern Pakistan. It has developed textile, food, chemical, metal and machinery industries.
