Dubai is the largest city of the United Arab Emirates and a deep-water seaport, the administrative center of the emirate of the same name,[5] the most important commercial and financial center of the UAE and the Middle East. It is located on the shores of the Persian Gulf. As of 2022, the city has a population of about 3.6 million people, more than 90% of whom are expatriates.
