I'd rather we tokenize content people already want than design an incentive system to create new content that people don't want. It's like the tail wagging the dog. The incentive system already exists - we have patronage, marketplaces, concerts etc. The real issue is connectivity and bandwidth across all participants.

Right, but there’s a fundamental difference between content and markets that is going unacknowledged Adding a coin to content is basically attaching a market to it. And we do not need infinite micro markets to tell us that the median internet post is worthless There seems to be a disconnect between theory and perception here. Pushing financilization of everything turns people off and pushes people away, especially artists and creators Just because there will be infinite tokens doesn’t mean we should be actively working towards that. In the early days it’s crucial to focus on high quality content, not spamming worthless tokens

It doesn't need to be measured. Either you like it or you don't

Interesting problem. The added value from sabermetrics are the adjustments for luck (BABIP, "fielding-independent") and comparison against some benchmark ("Replacement Level"). So I would define what to adjust for (protocol-dependency on foundation insiders) first then compute some -above-replacement metric (Volume / Revenue Above Replacement Level)?

gm nyc, soliciting advice on a move to NYC this summer motivated by better networking opps in the crypto industry. Questions: 1. Given I work mostly remote, is it worth the premium to live in NYC vs Jersey? 2. Which areas have the highest density of builders? Looking at Bushwick/BK. Manhattan is out of my price rsnge.

Whoever wins the election can strongly influence the macro conditions using policy. Can't decouple the two for the sake of argument

I'm with Matt on listening to podcasts. I don't understand the appeal of summarizing podcasts with AI. A good podcast is something to savor like a a conversation with friends or any other form of creative medium
