Travel tip: don’t carry just one credit card, even if it’s an international card. Some places might not take your brand. Example: American Express is great but not accepted everywhere. Also have a visa or a Mastercard. 

Seems visa accepted more places. 

And be sure to get one with no Int’l fees or conversion charges.

During my first months in the Netherlands back in 2017 I could not pay with Icelandic Visa in many Dutch supermarkets.
At least the international fees were low.
Still is not fully integrated in some towns🤯So yep…more than one!
