Technologies can be bogged down and hindered by being added on to and added on to over time by 'improvements.' It typically isn't feasible to scrap it all and start from scratch with all improvements integrated into a new product. AI could make this possible...

Considering where something like this might actually be attempted, I would think it may be deployed in a smaller nation state that had some major political turmoil that needed an injection of stability. I'm not trying to overthrow anybody, just thinking out loud. Discuss...

What if we tasked an AI with constructing for us a political system platform that worked? One in which we governed and only as a blueprint that we could follow to serve the greater good of mankind. And get things done efficiently.

It still wouldn't be easy but it might make it possible. Governments and legislation typically exist in a similar bogged down, bloated state. Legislation is created and added to much more than it is edited or detracted from.
