This has been a consistent doctrine for me. I’ve never SEOed my blog headlines, never did weird presale launch stunts for books on Amazon to game the bestseller algorithms etc. I don’t mind leaving reach/sales/blog traffic on the table. It’s just not worth it if you’re looking for humans rather than tribbles.

Many replies when I complained before acted like I was doing a bit to gain more followers. No.

When something seems too good to be true it generally is. Took me 15 years to go from 0-65k on twitter through slow, organic, locally grown tweeting. So when I go from 35-75k in 2 weeks here my bullshit detector. fires.
