Could someone who understands zk proofs better than me explain the advantages of doing the frogcrypto frog cards as PCD blobs instead of say NFTs? Is the PCD unique to the specific frog I have or is it associated with the frog species? Can 2 cards of the same frog be distinguished (I have multiples of some)

I guess I could make generic claims like “I have either frog A or frog B” without revealing which

I’m assuming the zupass team is planning to do more with this. I really like whatever zupass is. It’s more interesting than the wallet abstraction. A collection of tickets and cards.

I’ll bite: We’ve known something like PCD was valuable for a long time (since tornado at least), but the hard problem imo is extending the wallet to support new cryptography. Today zupass supports frogs, but you’d need to add a pull request to the wallet repo to add more types. Hence 🦊 focus on user extension.

🤔 At this point “wallet” seems to be really stretched as a metaphor

I think there are good reasons why it’s been so sticky, but yeah it’s also a trojan horse for a new kind of software that is maximally stretchy: what I’d sooner frame as a distributed kernel (because it helps me focus on what I think are the important parts to get right).
