Depressing how there are literally no good newspapers left. Every single one has an asterix next to it.

I no longer really know how to get the news. It’s some unstable, evolving bs improv act.

I read it on occasion and it’s better on opinion side than WSJ but the generally econ-centric angle doesn’t appeal to me much

Pre-1998 I’d say. I mean there was bias before then but easily factored out to get some semblance of what felt like proper news. I could do it with any major newspaper.

Now it’s all biased in unstable and illegible ways and also personalized in unwanted stupid ways. I want news not a bloody click mirror.

Earnest question - was there a time period in your life that you didn’t question the news/it’s angle/it’s facts?

There used to be more agreement on what was relevant. Not so much these days. It's definitely more work on us to "find the news".
