Senses dull with age and we have prosthetics for 2 of them. Glasses (visual acuity), hearing aid (auditory). None for taste, smell, touch. You lose cognitive acuities too. Verbal (searching for right word), associative (right leap), logic (right inference), memory… Could LLMs act like prosthetics for these?

In my experience it’s barely peg leg and hook hand level for verbal and associative respectively. 4 seems to have a better meme sense than 3.5 though. Maybe it’s the past few months of talking to terminally online people? Seems achievable though

It depends on how modular the other senses are I guess. You could make the case that they are closer to the core human experiences. But that is essentialistic, probably there is no such thing as a core human experience.
