That whole Tim Ferris subculture never really went away. They just formed their own parallel universe of learning lifestyles. My reaction to people just mastering domain after domain is pure puzzlement. Why??? What’s the reason besides addiction? Something deeply nihilistic here. Like people doing multiple PhDs.

I resonated with the article in a bit of a different way, reinventing myself several times, jumping careers but never truly mastered any. Feels more a self discover process, weirdly enjoyable one in hindsight The way I see digital building now is way more fun because I can build houses with my hand.
