Remarkable how easily we’ve adapted to the idea that intelligence is not just something that can be artificially produced, but that it’s fundamentally a commodity. Nobody seems to care what brand of intelligence they buy. They just buy the cheapest intelligence that will do the job. This also explains why “being smart” has never been a basis for having a personality. Smarts make for interchangeable parts.
