Kidding aside, monoliths are the opposite of protocols, modularity, composability etc

Wondering what an explicit philosophy of monolithicism would look like. Most arise out of lack of a design vision and a big ball of mud non-architecture. And a studied indifference or even hostility to generalizability.

Monoliths are the putative prime numbers of engineering. The design assumes n=1 sui generis idiosyncratic nature as necessary. There is only 0 to 1. Going 1 to n is haram.  Unbundling is violent death. There is no factorization. Reality has no carvable joints.
